I have a crazy obsession with cake stands… maybe it’s that they add so much life to a classic cake and give a table setting a festive look. Or maybe it’s because I associate them with elegant, traditional decor and the 20’s and 40’s! Cake stands have been around for many centuries, first popping up in the market as Salvers (a flat carrying/serving tray). I’m so happy cake stands are back and as popular as ever! They seriously make me happy 😉
I chose a few to share from some of my favorite online boutiques. The American Jadeite is a green glass stand and is a great way to add color to a celebration. This one can be found at Fishs Eddy. The classic Scalloped white one is from one of my favorite stores, Williams-Sonoma. The adorable cupcake stands are available at Farmhouse wares and would be a sweet touch at each place setting! How cute for a little tea party, right? The yellow and blue stands on the bottom are both from Clara French, who has the most beautiful, elegant designs. I love the style and the details of these stands. One of these cake stands would be a great gift for a wedding or for a baby gift, so it can be used for every birthday starting from one 😉 The last cake stand is another classic white (everyone knows how much I like white!) and goes with any color or decor. This stand is from the fabulous designer Rosanna Inc. She also creates some other amazing entertainment-ware!
