good ol’ fashioned peanut butter cookies

Comments
For my kindergarten graduation, my mother asked me what type of cookie I wanted her to make for the party. Without hesitation I chose peanut butter and it’s still my favorite cookie today 😉 I have a picture of me holding a plate of peanut butter cookies with a terrible fluffy, purple dress on… the only thing that looks good in that picture are the cookies, ha! Anyway, today I thought I’d share my favorite pb cookie recipe with you. These are perfectly chewy, peanut buttery and just pure delicious! The recipe is pretty much mistake proof and a favorite of Zan’s too! He gave it the Sugar and Charm stamp of approval and trust me… he’s brutally honest!

Good Ol’ Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, soft
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup flour

Directions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Mix all of the ingredients (except the flour) together with an electric mixer until combined. Add the flour slowly to the mix on low speed. Do not over mix the flour. Place on cookie sheet using a cookie scooper. Press a fork on top of the dough and make a criss-cross pattern. Bake for  8 to 10 minutes. Remember the cookies will still bake a little when they are taken out of the oven, so don’t overdo them. They taste the best when they are soft and chewy!
