Yesterday I shared the exciting news that my Kentucky Derby-inspired shoot was featured in Southern Weddings! Today I wanted to post the rest of the photos and details ; ) I shopped vintage stores to find the horse shoes, silver tea set, beer bottle and the black and white vintage photos. Zan designed the menus, name tags and invitations and I had them printed on wood from Bullfrog Graphics… who do incredible work! For favors, I made lavender-infused sugarand also lavender confetti to throw at the “bride and groom.” : ) The linens are from my all-time favorite linen shop, La Tavola. And it wouldn’t be a Southern wedding without Mint Juleps! We were serving a few of those up and you can find the recipe here. We had two photographers shooting that day, Kurt Boomer (whose pictures are featured below) and Stephan Pappas. A very big thank-you to my husband for all of his hard work and to my good friend Jenna, who was my assistant and model (holding the carrots below) for the day!
