This is a Mai “Tie” a man won’t be embarrassed to drink this Father’s Day! I’m not sure where Mai Tais got their girly connotation from. Maybe it’s the ubiquitous umbrella garnish or the fruitiness, but this Mai Tai is opposite from any girly drink. It’s concocted with three different rums and slightly sweetened with Torani almond syrup, pineapple juice and fresh lime juice. I cut a tie out of fabric and stuck it on the glass with a Zot. Manly Mai “Tie”
1 ounce white rum
1 ounce gold (or dark) rum
1 ounce coconut rum
1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) almond syrup
1/2 (1 tablespoon) ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce grand marnier
1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) pineapple juice
Add all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake shake shake. Strain into a lowball glass over ice and garnish with blueberries.
