An Earthy Thanksgiving Table

Comments

I put together some Thanksgiving Day table inspiration for you all! I wanted to create something that’s achievable and affordable for everyone. Of course there are millions of gorgeous settings, but often they’re not practical. It’s like the runway… beautiful clothes, but who’s actually going to wear it or can afford it? So hopefully you’ll find a few affordably chic ideas below ; ) I went for an earthy vibe for this table setting. I used local grocery store flowers and gourds. I also used a lot of products from World Market, which I love and is totally affordable! Read below for more tips and for the DIY vases.

White pumpkins and fresh greenery are perfect accents to dress up your table. How awesome is that twig fork? Love that flatware!

With copper spray paint, I sprayed empty glass water bottles and gourds to fit the theme.
The cast iron bowl is perfect for serving soup or even salad if you want!
Send your guests home with a little box of chocolates, wrapped in old-fashion newspaper.
Why not serve pumpkin beer at Thanksgiving? You can freeze giant goblets to pour it in.
I picked up the tree stump charger at Michaels. It’s perfect for placing wine on at the dinner table.
I’ve been saving glass water bottles because I buy them for Romeo’s bottle. A bit extravagant, I know, but we don’t have a good water filter and I’m not giving him LA’s best! So he gets special Italian water instead! Anyway, soak the bottles in hot water and the labels will pretty much melt off. Wash the residue off with soap. Dry the bottles well and then spray them with copper spray paint. Let them dry and you have beautiful flower vases! These are NOT for candles as the paint is flammable.
Buying Guide:
White Plates, Green Plate from World Market, Cast Iron Bowl, Wine, Tree Stump Charger, Goblet, Black Napkins from World Market (only sell gray online), Twig flatware

Your blog makes me want to become a stay at home mom and try to make all these pretty things!!! Unfortunatelly we don’t have that concept here in Portugal, so yeah.. I’m stuck at work. Much love *

Beautiful. Love the tree stump charger. I gotta go get one of those. If you add oxy clean to the water, there will be almost no residue left on the bottle. (Vanessa taught me that. The oxy clean soak gets stubborn labels off, too)
