I made popovers! Delicious, light and airy popovers with bourbon maple butter and I ate three of them in one sitting. They’re hollow though, so I don’t think it mattered that I had three, right? The butter tasted like heaven and paired well with the popovers! They’re perfect right out of the oven, poke a little hole on the top and fill with whipped butter… You’ll probably eat more than one too, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya ; ) I followed this recipe, which was great! Mine didn’t rise as much as their picture, but I also made them in giant muffin tins rather than a “true” popover pan.
Popover Recipe from King Arthur, here.
I made my popovers in giant muffin tins, since I wanted them to be large. You can make them in a small muffin pan or in a popover pan.
1 stick softened butter
1/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons Noble syrup
1 tablespoon sweet maple syrup
Beat the butter and milk on high until it’s whipped and doubles in volume. Add in the syrups and continue to beat. When the butter is whipped, add it into mini-bowls to serve with each popover.
