Toddy Cold Brew System

IcedCoffee2IcedCoffee3IcedCoffee4IcedCoffee1I’m a huge iced coffee drinker, it has to be pretty cold for me to order a hot coffee. I just love it cold! So when our friends introduced us to the Toddy Cold Brew System, I instantly fell in love! You guys, it’s life changing! It doesn’t use electricity, it brews coffee with 67% less acid, you can use any beans you want and it lasts up to 2 weeks in the fridge! I brew a jug about once a week to get me through the week and then every morning I pour it over crushed ice and add some vanilla coconut milk… it’s incredible! Most coffee shops don’t offer coconut milk (ahem, Starbucks if you’re reading… coconut milk lattes are kind of amazing) so being able to pour a generous amount of smooth coconut milk in my iced coffee every morning is awesome. I take it on our bright and early walks everyday!

I bought mine here… I also got one with extra filters, but I reuse one filter a few times. Just wash it out and keep it in the fridge in a bag.

The Toddy comes with directions on how to brew. It’s extremely easy! You need 12 ounces ground coffee beans and 7 cups filtered water. There’s a method to pouring the water and the beans, then you let it sit for 12-24 hours (overnight) and in the morning, you pull the stopper out and let the coffee brew into the Toddy glass decanter. Yum!!

I was in Starbucks when another customer told me about the cold brewing process of coffee and the Toddy System, which I need to get right away…Completely agree that coconut milk makes coffee tastes so much better, and Chai Lattes too 🙂
