Recipe for a Sweet Orange Lavender Scrub

SweetOrangeScrub DIYCleaningProducts1 DIYCleaningProducts2 DIYCleaningProducts6 DIYCleaningProducts5 We’re a few days into the beginning of spring so I thought I’d bring a little of my Home Ec degree to Sugar and Charm today with a recipe for my favorite cleaning scrub and DIY scrub shaker to store it in! It’s a Sweet Orange Lavender scrub that I use more than any cleaning product in our house! I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it smells, especially compared to store-bought scrubs. I also made my own shaker by poking holes in the top of a Kerr jar. It works perfectly and it’s easy to use when cleaning. We did a video on this last year, but I wanted to feature it in photos too. I have a feeling many of us will be doing a little spring cleaning soon and this scrub would be a great addition to your cleaning basket! Try it out and let me know your thoughts!

Sweet Orange Lavender Scrub
1 1/2 cups baking soda
1/4 cup Borax
10-15 drops 100% orange essential oil
A few pieces fresh lavender

Add all the ingredients into a glass jar with a fitted lid and shake. Using a hammer and a nail, make holes in the top of the lid.
