LA with Kids: Troutdale Fishing

Troutdale_2Troutdale_5Troutdale_10Troutdale_3Troutdale_12Troutdale_7Troutdale_11Troutdale_1Troutdale is a full service fishing park located off Kanan Road in Agoura Hills. We’ve driven past it many times and I couldn’t wait until Romeo was older to take him! It’s a perfect place to take kids fishing because you’ll most likely catch one and you have the pros on hand to help you if you need. For a small entrance fee of $7 per person, all of the supplies are provided, like bamboo fishing poles (or you can rent professional ones) and they clean the fish, which is much better than doing it yourself! You can have them pack it on ice to take home or they’ll cook it for you to eat there. I would recommend buying and using some Trout Powerbait since the corn doesn’t work as well. But you have purchase the fish you catch, so don’t catch too many!

It feels very serene with the mature trees, mountains and water and was overall very relaxing. Zan had just as much fun as Romeo, so it’s great for adults too and I loved that Romeo could run around the grounds when he was done fishing. We ended up catching 2 fish and bringing them home to cook later. We had a great experience, so if you’re in the LA area check it out!

Im an old guy now. Early 80’s. One of my regrets in life is not taking more time off from making money and spending more time fishing with my sons.

Like your blog. It’s warm and inviting.

Hi David, It’s hard to realize that when you’re in the rush of everyday life… I’m sure your sons appreciate all of the hard work you put in to giving them a great life. Thanks for the sweet comment 🙂
