So when I was asked to help create a few fun ideas for them, my sweet tooth and I were overjoyed and ready for the task! I wanted to make something that was as luscious as the chocolate itself but also let the chocolate remain the hero in the recipe. I decided to create the most delicious truffle eggnog ever to spark a little joy this holiday season! To make this treat, I used truffles from the 24-piece Signature Truffle Gift box, which not only works for recipes but would make any recipient swoon!

By melting truffles right into the mixture, I was able to capture the essence of the truffles. I didn’t want to make the recipe too sweet since I thought serving it with a truffle would make the most sense (and be super charming!). The GODIVA Truffle Eggnog was a HUGE hit and the truffle paired with it was a match made in holiday heaven! Using the GODIVA truffles created a bit of happiness that lingered long after the chocolate disappeared. See below for the recipe and get ready for deliciousness!

Godiva Chocolate Truffle Eggnog

1 cup sugar and 1/4 cup sugar (separated)

1/2 cup water

2 cups heavy cream

2 cups whole milk

6 GODIVA chocolate truffles

8 egg yolks and whites separated

Directions

In a medium sauce pan, melt 1 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water and bring to a light boil,

stirring constantly.

Over medium heat, add in the heavy cream and whole milk and stir

so it doesn’t burn. Toss in 6 decadent GODIVA truffles and watch them melt! Again, keep stirring so none of the ingredients burn.

In a stand alone mixer, whisk the egg yolks on high until light and fluffy. Add in the milk

mixture slowly and continue to whisk.

Pour the eggnog into a large bowl a set aside since you’re going to beat the egg whites next!

In the stand alone mixer, beat the egg whites and 1/4 cup sugar until soft peaks form.

Fold the egg whites into the eggnog mixture to give it the fluffiest, smoothest texture for sipping!

Garnish with a GODIVA Chocolate Truffle and some chocolate shavings and enjoy!
