A few weeks ago, Zan and I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon (alone, which rarely happens) in Santa Monica. We decided to take advantage of our beautiful city and go somewhere we normally don’t, the Santa Monica Pier! We ate at the newly renovated and revamped seafood restaurant The Albright, formerly SM Pier Seafood. It’s a wonderful restaurant to kick back in, relax and dine on some fresh and delicious seafood! I love the super beachy decor, colors and atmosphere and the food was some of the best on-the-water seafood we’ve had in LA. We ordered the lobster (oh my gosh, delicious!!), king crab, clam chowder in a bread bowl, fish and chips, incredible sangria and Zan had the fresh oysters. We then ended the feast with a huge fresh-baked chocolate chip cookie. Sitting outside enjoying fresh seafood and cocktails, overlooking the sunset on the ocean and pier is pretty incredible. The people watching can get very interesting too! Santa Monica is perfect for day trips with the family and kids. There’s plenty to do on the pier and around town for couples and kids of all ages. And the Albright is definitely a great place to amazing seafood.
