For any of you who have children, you know it’s imperative to have last minute summer activities on hand! We happily teamed up with Munchkin to share 3 of our favorite outdoor activities using items from around the home! Now you’ll always be prepared when your child has a case of the “I’m bored” blues and you’ll remember daddy’s shaving cream makes really great paint! Perfect! Also, we can’t rave enough about how much we love our Munchkin mats, bubble machine, dots (which make a great outdoor Twister-style game!) and the most amazing miracle 360 cup, that’s perfect for the pool!

Last Minute Puff Paint
Who knew you can paint with shaving cream?! But make sure to restock dad’s supply next time you’re at the store!

Ingredients
1 bottle shaving cream 1 multi-purpose glue Food coloring

Directions
Mix the shaving cream and glue in a large bowl, about 2 to 1 ratio, shaving cream to glue. Then divide into cups and add in food coloring. Use outside on large white paper!

Ice Chalk
This is fun, messy and great for gross motor skills. The colors are pretty when they blend and melt together, and it’s a unique way to play with chalk and paint outside. You can also use washable paint for the colors instead of food coloring, since it does stain hands for the day!

Ingredients
2 cups corn starch
2 1/2 cups water
3 tablespoons liquid soap
Food coloring (or washable paint)

Directions
Mix the corn starch, soap and water in a large bowl. Then divide into smaller bowls to make individual colors. Freeze in Munchkin Click Lock Fresh Food Freezer Pops or large ice cube trays.

Colorful Water Wars!
This is by far the easiest outdoor game ever, but my son’s favorite! We mix a small amount of food coloring with water and no tear baby soap (to help remove the food coloring later!) in a plastic spray bottle. Then we put on white shirts and run around the yard squirting each other! You can see the color on the shirt when you get sprayed. Hours of fun, I tell you!

Munchkin rids the world of the mundane by developing clever, innovative solutions that make family life safer, easier, and more fun. You can find Munchkin products at Munchkin.comTargetBabies’R’UsWalmart, and Amazon. It’s the little things!
