How to Host a Crab Feast

Comments

SAC_Board_CrabFeast_v1bSoooo, truth be told, crab feasts are my fave! We enjoyed a generous amount of crab growing up in a small fishing town and having a commercial fisherman for a grandfather! We would throw down some newspaper, melt the butter and enjoy one messy, crackin’ good meal. When we were in Alaska with Princess Cruises we devoured the best all-you-can eat crab feast with tons of butter and loads of dungeons crab. I’m still dreaming about it! So now I’m inspired to host my own crab feast very soon. It’s such a great idea for entertaining because it can be super laid back, but still charming and delicious in every way! See our board and the links below for a few essential items and ones that will add a little charm to your crab feast! Hopefully you’ll be inspired to host your own!

Beer is essential at a crab feast and so is this bottle opener!

Of course you can’t crack crab without a cracker… this claw shaped one is pretty charming!

A seafood tool set that comes with crackers and picks to get the crab meant out.

Napkins… yes! Very fond of the red linen ones from Brookfarm General Store.

More napkins… yes! AND these have charming little crabs and lobsters on them!

Love enamel dinnerware for outdoor entertaining!

These charming red enamel tumblers are perfect for water or cocktails!

Butter, butter, butter!! Must have the butter and there is nothing better than hot, melted butter. These little butter warmers are genius!

A classic apron for messiest eaters at the party! Kids would love this!

Beer mugs with a modern twist!

Don’t forget the stack of newspapers to cover the table!

And of course, every guests needs to wear a bib! It’s not a feast without one!
