These chocolate dipped pretzels and pumpkin spice popcorn balls are the perfect movie snacks for the kids…. and you! Easy and fun to make, they are great to munch while watching your favorite movies.

Watching movies by the fire with my family is one of my all-time favorite things to do around the holidays! I’ve always loved the bonding it promotes and I look forward to it every season.

As Romeo gets older, the holidays are even more exciting and I love including him in the cooking and crafting festivities!! Such as making these delightful chocolate dipped pretzels and pumpkin spice popcorn balls!

Lifetime approached us for this fun collaboration for their new Thanksgiving movie, Jim Henson’s Turkey Hollow! I have to say, this one of my favorite projects because I got to include Romeo in it, and as a family, we had so much fun watching the movie together.

The movie was awesome. Totally funny, classic and very Henson-esque, which we love. Watching it was a really great way to start the holidays!

My favorite part of this is the fact that the Turkey Hollow crew was cooking along with us in the kitchen!

Haha!! Who knew these creatures made such great sous chefs?! ☺

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels and Popcorn Balls – Get The Kids Involved!

Romeo and I made some fun movie snacks together to enjoy during Turkey Hollow. We made these pumpkin spice popcorn balls and fun chocolate-dipped pretzels! Both recipes are super easy and promote kids helping in the kitchen, which is delightfully messy! I loved every minute of it!

Can You Freeze Chocolate Dipped Pretzels?

The moisture from the freezer may be absorbed into the pretzel and cause the pretzels to taste a bit stale. You really don’t need to freeze pretzels covered in chocolate. They have a pretty long shelf life. Just keep them in an airtight container, a cookie tin, a glass jar etc.

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn Balls!

You can’t shake the pumpkin spice, especially when it comes to Fall! You can either run a mile or lean right into it! Granted pumpkin spice may not work for everything – ha!

But for these popcorn balls, it works a treat! It’s a sweet treat with (to my taste!) just the right amount of spice — it’s enough to feel warming, but not so much that it knocks you over the head.  Oh yes, the kids will love it too!

Top Tips For Chocolate Dipped Pretzels and Pumpkin Balls

  • Make sure to use a double broiler to melt the chocolate, so it doesn’t burn.
  • Lay the chocolate dipped pretzels on parchment paper, to cool.
  • Let the popcorn cool slightly, before molding into balls.
  • Make sure to butter your hand when shaping the popcorn balls!
