How to Make a Carrot Mimosa with Blood Orange

If you can’t find blood oranges, don’t worry! Regular juicy oranges work just as good.

We suggest making this mimosa with freshly juiced oranges and carrots. If you don’t have a juicer for carrots, then use a store-bought organic carrot juice with no added ingredients. Try to juice the oranges fresh as it makes such a difference!

Ingredients

Carrot Juice

Blood Orange Juice (or any freshly squeezed orange juice)

Champagne, Cava or Prosecco

Directions

Add the juices into a Champagne flute and then top with cold Champagne or sparkling white wine.

Tips for Making a Carrot Mimosa

Use a Champagne Flute – This glass is designed to preserve carbonation. They are perfect for celebrations and the only glass sparkling wine and Champagne should be served in.

Make a Batch â€“ If you’re serving many people, mix the mimosa up in a larger pitcher then pour into each glass.

Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice – To make them the best, use freshly squeezed orange juice. Make this the day before and store it in refrigerator.

Carrot Juice – Juice from the grocery store is perfectly fine for making a carrot juice mimosa.

Cold Ingredients – You want the orange juice and sparkling wine to be chilled, so make sure they’re both cold before serving. Usually leaving them in the refrigerator over night.

Chill The Glass – Since you don’t add ice to mimosas, chilling the Champagne flutes helps create a super cold cocktail that’s even smoother when sipping.

What is Blood Orange?

Blood orange is a variety of orange with a beautiful, vibrant red color. They are rich in antioxidants and have a sweet, tangy flavor.

Virgin Carrot Mimosa

If you want to enjoy a non-alcoholic mimosa, replace the sparkling wine with sparkling soda or sparkling grape juice like Martinelli’s.

What is the best champagne for mimosas?

Technically, you don’t have to use a bottle of champagne for mimosas. As long as it’s a sparkling white wine it will taste great! An affordable bottle of cava or prosecco is a great option.

A quick tip: Make both juices the day before and store them in the refrigerator for easy mimosa making!
