and the award goes to… edible mini gold stars!

Whether you’re throwing a small Oscar party or just cozying up on the couch with your family to watch  the Awards this Sunday, below are two SUPER easy ideas to help make the night special : ) Mini bowls of popcorn with edible gold stars sprinkled on top and refreshing pineapple and ginger cocktails to sip on while perched in front of the TV for Hollywood’s biggest night. I bought the gold stars from Michael’s (you can find them here too). You can also add them to cupcakes, popcorn, drinks or any other idea you have for your Oscars party! They’re perfect for embellishing while watching the “stars.”  Read below for the cocktail recipe!

Mini bowls of popcorn, lined with gold tinfoil and sprinkled with edible gold stars ; )

Pineapple-Ginger Chiller
2 ounces pineapple juice
2 pineapple chunks muddled
1 1/2 ounces ginger-infused SKYY vodka
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons (or more if you like it sweeter!) agave nectar
Club soda

Muddle pineapple chunks in a cocktail shaker with pineapple juice. Add the vodka, ice and agave and shake for 20 seconds. Add a small amount of pineapple juice to the rim of the glass and dip it into the gold stars. Then fill the glass with ice (but carefully so the stars don’t fall off) and strain the cocktail over the ice. Top off with a small amount of club soda. It’s super refreshing and very mild in sweetness.
