San Francisco Part One

We left our hearts in San Francisco and I fell even more in love with the stunning city. We had the most beautiful weather on Saturday and Sunday. We even went to the beach for a picnic… in SF! It was a great little get away for Zan and I. As soon as my mom got to our hotel we pretty much said, “Peace!” to her and Romeo and flew out the door like nobody’s business! Thank God for grandmas. We wanted to try State Bird Provisions, but didn’t have a reservation, thus we waited three hours to get a spot at the bar. Luckily, they have a good system worked out and they text you when your table is ready. So we had a few rounds at an awesome little bar and coffee house called The Social Study. The atmosphere at State Bird was really fun and we enjoyed trying all the little tapas-style portions they bring by on trays.  We also went to Tony’s Napoletana Pizza, which, to my amazement, was actually incredible. I’m pretty picky about pizza because in my opinion nothing beats this place, but I was very surprised and really liked the thin crust they had! One morning we went to the Ferry Building to grab the smoothest latte ever! Seriously, Blue Bottle Coffee is delicious. Smoothest soy latte I’ve ever tasted… delicious. My brother, his girlfriend and my sister came out to meet us for breakfast at Boudin. We also did the touristy thing and went to Ghirardelli Square… how in the world could I resist? The thick hot cocoa was totally worth it.

I’ll have more pictures tomorrow : )

I am going to San Fran this summer and now I can’t wait seeing your beautiful photos. I wrote down ALL of the places you mentioned and am going to try out as many as possible while I’m there. I am wondering where you stayed while you were there?
