Candied Grapefruit and Grapefruit Gin Cocktail

CandiedCapefruit4Grapefruit and Gin Cocktail

Make a grapefruit gin cocktail when life gives you grapefruit! We have a large grapefruit tree out front and once in awhile I can reach one of those luscious fruits to make a cocktail with. Grapefruit is actually my favorite citrus fruit to make a cocktail with as it’s easy to juice, the flavor is fresh and it’s packed with vitamins C and A. Since I enjoy it so much, I wanted to make candied grapefruit to garnish my grapefruit gin  cocktail and to use as party favors. They’re chewy, tangy and are covered in sugar! I did a post over at Rock ur Party about how you can make them.
This Grapefruit and Gin cocktail is one of my favorites. It’s easy to make, fresh and delicious.

1 ounce Bulldog Gin
4 ounces fresh squeezed grapefruit juice
1 teaspoon agave
2 candied grapefruit peels

In a cocktail shaker, add ice, grapefruit juice, agave and gin. Shake several times. Pour over a 4oz glass filled with ice. Garnish with two grapefruit peels.
