I had a goal to have our backyard somewhat finished by the middle of May… and that’s absolutely not happening! I’m actually at a loss as to which privacy trees and other greenery we should plant. Any thoughts? I have a few ideas, but I might be seeking out some guidance soon! We’ve done some things like stained the patio, put up market lights and hung some pretty curtains, but that’s it! In the meantime, I’m constantly looking for gorgeous inspiration for seating areas, styling and adding charm to our backyard. So today I’m sharing 10 beautiful small backyards. From modern to rustic touches, I love all of these ideas!

I just love the succulent patch and stone fountain. I’m hoping the weather can finally warm up for good here on the East Coast to do some damage, good luck with your yard!

Hey Diana! Thanks for the comment and kind word. I agree and yes, Zan’s parents live on the East Coast and I could only imagine how much you’re looking forward to summer! Good luck and thanks for visiting! E

Lovely! We are working on our side yard/patio and I’m on the hunt for some more cute furniture, too. 🙂

Hi Angel!! It’s so much fun, right? But not always easy on a tight budget. Keep me posted on what you guys do!

Really lovely little spots. I’m just about to have an art and garden show in my house and so am spending waaay too much time on the computer looking at dreamy little spots and not enough time painting and weeding…as you do…lol. Wish my Pacific Northwest climate was more akin to great, big, Californian sedums. Just gorgeous.
