A Fun Winter Toddler Table with Munchkin

IMG_8012IMG_7851IMG_7866 IMG_7949IMG_7926IMG_8066We’re big fans of Munchkin in our household. From sippy cups and snack catchers to bath toys and training items, we use it all! I was so thrilled recently to have the opportunity to create some fun little holiday-themed projects and a table setting perfect for toddlers! I’m also going to be doing an Instagram take over for them this weekend, which you can find here.

Table setting: I wanted to do a simple winter theme using blue and green with penguins! I’m a believer in setting a table for kids and when they’re busy toddlers, it’s imperative to have safe, spill-free items. I used these plates, silverware, snack catchers and cups to create a charming little setting. To give the table some quirkiness and toddler fun I used an adorable (and unbreakable!) stork bath accessory as a vase! Who says toddlers don’t enjoy flowers on a table setting? And to tie in the penguin theme I placed penguin bibs and bath toys out too.

Snow Globes: My son loves snow globes and he never gets to play with them since they’re glass. We decided to make our own using Munchkin Squirtin’ Penguins and a plastic globe we bought at a craft store. Using some hot glue, distilled water, glycerin and sparkly confetti we were able to make a perfect snow globe for him to play with!

Penguin Bowling: This DIY activity is so much fun for toddlers and easy to do! We found these wooden-shaped eggs with a flat bottom and painted them like penguins. I also bought a wooden ball and flocked it with faux snow to resemble a snow ball. It’s so charming and great for an after dinner activity. To save time, you can also just make the snowball and use Munchkin Squirtin’ Penguins instead of making your own!

Fudgesicles: Toddlers love treats and the best kind are the ones you can make at home and choose how much sugar you add! Sticking with my penguin theme, I created milk chocolate and white chocolate layered pops using Fresh Food Freezer Pops. In a sauce pan, boil 1 cup milk, then remove from the heat and whisk in 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Pour into the molds (only halfway up) and freeze. While those are freezing make the white chocolate mix by doing the same thing. Top off the pops with the white chocolate and freeze again. They’re the perfect size for toddlers!

Munchkin rids the world of the mundane by developing clever, innovative solutions that make family life safe, easier, and more fun. You can find their products at Munchkin.comTargetBabies’R’UsWalmart, and Amazon. It’s the little things!
