An easy DIY for creating your own beautiful pineapple flower! They’re perfect for garnishing desserts and cocktails. It’s all about the details and these add so much charm!

Have you ever heard of pineapple flowers? They are the cutest and easiest garnish for cupcakes, cocktails or cheese platters! We originally made them for a pineapple garden party we hosted and everyone loved them!

After they’re baked and dried overnight, these super-thin pineapple slices come out looking like yellow flowers and they’re just beautiful.

How to Select A Pineapple

  • A pineapple that has a golden yellow color from the top is a nice, ripe pineapple.
  • Choose one with fresh green stems, that has a little give when you squeeze it and smells like a pineapple.

How to Make Pineapple Flowers

Ingredients + Supplies

You only need a pineapple, knife and cupcake tin to make these pineapple flowers!

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 225 degrees.
  • Peel the pineapple and take out the center with a melon ball or metal teaspoon.
  • Using a mandolin or a super sharp knife, cut very thin slices.
  • If the pineapple is really juicy, blot paper towels on it to get rid of the moisture.
  • Bake the pineapple slices on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for 30 minutes.
  • Flip and bake for another 30 minutes.
  • Place the slices in a cupcake tin to hold their flower shape and dry overnight.
