Rosé, Sorbet & Gin Cocktail

rose_sorbet_gin_cocktail_2rose_sorbet_gin_cocktail_1rose_sorbet_gin_cocktail_4rose_sorbet_gin_cocktail_3rose_sorbet_gin_cocktail_5 When we were having the time of our lives in Alaska (can someone please take me back?!), I picked up a bottle of 50 Fathoms handcrafted gin, made along the shores of the Inside Passage. We heard so many good reviews about the gin and it was no surprise that it won a double gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition! We were pretty much not leaving Alaska without a bottle! I’ve been holding off using too much since the bottle alone is so beautiful, and I don’t even know where I can buy it around here. I guess that means I’ll have to take another Alaskan cruise with Princess Cruises, ha!! When we were on the ship, we enjoyed very delicious cocktails every evening and amazing cocktail receptions… definitely a highlight of the trip! I wanted to create a unique cocktail, using just a dash of my gin. So, has anyone ever had rosé, sorbet and gin before?! You must, if you haven’t… because it’s pretty fantastic! We made a raspberry sorbet, then topped it with some rosé and a dash of 50 Fathoms gin, which gave it the perfect tiny kick!!  It’s a strong cocktail and the first sip is like, whoa! But then, it smooths out and is incredibly tasty. An excellent sipping cocktail with a great presentation. Also, great for entertaining, since you can make the sorbet before, then pop open a bottle of rosé and add a dash of gin! No mixing, stirring or juicing required! See the recipe below… cheers!!

Rosé, Sorbet and Gin Cocktail

2 small scoops of raspberry sorbet

1/2 cup rosé

1 teaspoon gin

We used this recipe for the raspberry sorbet, which is delicious!
