Easy and Adorable Mummy Brownies!

halloween_mummy_cupckaes_sugarandcharm_1-2halloween_mummy_cupckaes_sugarandcharm_2-2halloween_mummy_cupckaes_sugarandcharm_3-2 This post was created in partnership with  NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® We love effortless entertaining over here and these mummy brownies and fondue make the perfect Halloween party platter!

These spooky little mummies are not only adorable, but are also easy to make. We used NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Brownies & More Chocolate Baking Mix with Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels (the morsels come in the box, so no need to buy extra!) and NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® White Morsels for the mummy frosting. The Brownies & More Chocolate Baking Mix allows you to customize your own treats, like these mummies! But a party platter isn’t complete with just one treat. Try adding a little flair with some fondue.

This simple recipe is not only delicious but also makes a fun centerpiece. All you need is NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, some heavy whipping cream and NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® White Morsels to top the deliciousness off. I placed it in a heat-safe cauldron to make it a bit more festive. Surround with the mummies and your favorite snacks or treats to complete the party platter. Your guests are sure to love it.

Check out the video to see how we assembled these charming brownies and how we served them! It’s super cute and will be such a hit at your Halloween party!

Easy and Adorable Mummy Brownies!
Serves: makes 15 mummies
  • Mummy Brownies:
  • 1 box Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Baking Mix with Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Mummy Decor:
  • 1 bag Nestlé Toll House White Morsels
  • 30 Semi-Sweet Morsels from the Chocolate Baking Mix to use as eyes
  • Chocolate Fondue:
  • 2 packages (24 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 package (12 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels
  • Supplies:
  • 2 inch round pastry cutter
  • Icing bag
  • Flat frosting tip
  • 13 x 9 baking pan
  1. Follow the baking directions on the Nestlé Toll House Chocolate Baking Mix to make brownies. Remove and save about 30 semi-sweet morsels for later.
  2. Pour brownie batter into a 13 x 9, greased baking dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  3. Remove and let cool, then using a 2 inch round pastry cutter, make 15 circles and place on a parchment-lined cutting board.
  4. In a double broiler, melt the white chocolate until smooth, then remove and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Add the melted white chocolate to a piping bag, fitted with a flat edge piping tip.
  6. Layer the frosting on the brownies like a mummy! Then add 2 morsel eyes for a deliciously spooky finish.
  7. Chocolate Fondue:
  8. Melt the semi-sweet morsels and heavy whipping cream in a medium saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth.
  9. Pour into a microwaveable bowl or pot to serve (this way you can easily put the bowl in the microwave for a few seconds if the morsels start to harden).
  10. Melt white morsels over a double boiler. Pour and swirl over the semi-sweet chocolate morsels or pipe the melted white morsels to make a design.
  11. Dip your favorite fruit or snack and enjoy!
