Sharing a few of our favorite Macy’s Wedding Registry items for the Home Bar.
Fall is here and I couldn’t be more excited! Time to get your bar cart (or bar area!) ready for some good home entertaining and mixology. This is by far my favorite season, and I’m so happy to have teamed up with Macy’s Wedding Registry to share a few of our favorite registry items that are perfect for your home bar. And we’re ending it with one amazingly delicious fall cocktail recipe below.
The first step in creating the perfect bar cart is… the barware! Adding a few classic pieces, like Waterford decanters and tumblers, is honestly one of my favorite ways to add charm and class to a bar area. Crafted with crystal, they are truly stunning and will be pieces you’ll keep forever that can be passed down for generations. I really love the Lismore Diamond tumblers too. We made our fall cocktail in them and they were the perfect size. They’re great for whiskey on the rocks or a fall bourbon cocktail. They also look gorgeous just sitting out. During Christmas, I have two festive Waterford glasses with etched glass snowflakes on them. I make eggnog and serve them in those glasses every year. It’s those small traditions that make life simple and beautiful.
Bar tools are also an integral part of creating your bar area. We used the Godinger stainless steel bar tool set that comes with a shaker, ice bucket and tools.
I also really love to use this Michael Aram stainless steel tray to display liquor bottles. It’s contemporary and classic!
It’s always nice to put some nuts and dried berries out or garnishes for your cocktails on the bar. These Michael Aram stainless steel bowls are made for that and sit on a wooden base.
We finished the details off with Dahlia coasters and solid linen napkins from Chilewich!
Now all we need is to fill those glasses! This spiced apple cider whiskey sour with homemade cinnamon simple syrup has all the flavors you’ll love in a cocktail mixed with bourbon. We used the copper titanium Crux pots to make the simple syrup, and shook it all together with the cocktail shaker. Then, we topped it with foam and a dried apple slice. So just relax and enjoy this delicious fall cocktail next to a warm fire!
