I wanted to create a board of the items I use most for entertaining. Basic, white items that will go with any theme or decor. They’re things that have versatile use so you can mix it up and grab a carafe if you need a quick flower vase. Below I explain why and how I use each item.
Carafe: This is great for fresh juice, flowers, water with cucumber and of course you can also use it for wine too : )
White Platters: I probably have way too many of these, but I really do use them incessantly. On these classic platters, you can plate any type of food, lay out beautiful favors or use as a tray for cocktails.
Weck Jars: These are great for candles, flowers or even drinking goblets.
Mini Flares: These come in a pack of 12 and I’ve made everything from whipped desserts to mini martinis in them. They’re the perfect size for a little pudding or panna cotta. I think a single flower in each would be darling as well!
White Candles: Always good to have on hand! They’re the perfect and easiest way to set the mood : )
Cake Stand: A simple, white cake stand is a must for displaying desserts! Stack cookies, set a pie top or frost your favorite cake to place on top. You will never regret investing in a few of these!
Mini Cups: I’m sure you can envision a million ways you can use these. Just like the flares, these are great for ice cream, candy, shots, any type of appetizer food like olives or almonds. They’re super versatile which I love!
Linen Napkins: I adore these neutral-colored linen napkins. They make a table setting feel a little fancier. They’re also great for placing under trays or wrapping a hostess gift in.
You can find all of these items and shop them here!
