Lately, I’ve been enjoying cocktails made with tea. This Peach Tea and Rum Cocktail definitely takes the cake. It’s a “peachy” twist on an old Charleston punch recipe from 1783!

Who knew hip tea cocktails have been around for so long?! We’re currently obsessed with this refreshing, lightly sweetened cocktail. We used the peach tea we bought in Charleston then added some rum, peach liqueur, lemon juice and simple syrup.

This summery cocktail is mild, simple and extremely refreshing. We’ve been sipping on them ever since we got back from our trip. I’ve also made a few pitchers for pool parties. Always a hit!

How To Make Peach Tea Cocktails – Step By Step

  • Brew 8 cups of peach tea and refrigerate until cold. Keep it in the fridge to make more drinks during the week.
  • Combine all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake with ice for 20 seconds.
  • Strain over a large ice cube. Cheers!

Sweet Tea Cocktail

A Tea Cocktail is essentially sweet tea, a spirit, lemon juice. For this recipe we’ve gone for rum as the spirit, because it has a lovely warm flavor that’s still keeps the sweet tea refreshing. We’ve also added a dash of peach liqueur to intensify the peachy taste.

Great Rums To Try in This Peach Tea Cocktail

We’ve used rum as our base for this iced tea cocktail and it works so nicely. Here’s some great rums to try in this peach tea cocktail:

  • Captain Morgan Gold Rum
  • Siesta Key Spiced Rum
  • Chairman’s Reserve Spiced Rum
  • Large Vida Rum
  • Kirk And Sweeney Rum

The Perfect Batch Cocktail

This rum cocktail is great to make in a batch. It’s perfect for summer or winter parties and can be served straight from the pitcher. It’s an easy cocktail that delivers great flavors!

Top Tips For Peach Tea Cocktails

  • Brew a big batch of iced tea and leave any leftover in the fridge, so you can use it for more cocktails at a later date.
  • Iced tea is usually good for up to 3 days.
  • When serving, add one big ice cube to each glass. This way the ice does not dilute the drink too fast.
  • Avoid artificial lemon juice. Go for the real thing to keep the most natural taste.

    Hi Eden,

Love your blog and recipes – thanks for all the great info and ideas! It looks like you forgot to include the rum in the ingredient list. Can you let us know what kind and how much to include?
