This is the easiest coconut margarita recipe! A tequila cocktail made with only 3 ingredients and shaken to perfection. Truly one of our favorite margarita recipes and the perfect summer cocktail.

I got this recipe from a boozy and very fun margarita class with Casamigos Tequila. Although I was bummed I didn’t get to throw a few back with George Clooney, we did get to make a few different versions of margaritas. My favorite was this three-ingredient coconut margarita! I love how easy it is to make and love it so much, I had to share it with you all!

It’s so simple to make, smooth and not too sweet. It’s also the perfect cocktail for summer with all of its tropical vibes.

One of my favorite parts about this margarita, and what separates it from other recipes, is the mixture of cinnamon and sugar sprinkled over the top.

I highly recommend trying this simple Coconut Margarita recipe!!

Ingredients

Tequila – Use a Blanco tequila for this recipe. It goes well with coconut.

Lime Juice – Always use fresh squeezed.

Real Coconut Puree – We use Coco Real Cream for most of our coconut cocktail recipes.

Cinnamon and Sugar – This is sprinkled over the drink and adds so much flavor and spice. Cinnamon pairs nicely with coconut.

Add all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for at least 20 to 30 seconds. It’s important to shake long enough for the ice to dilute the ingredients.Strain over a large ice cube.Sprinkle a cinnamon and sugar mixture over the top.

Cream of Coconut vs Coconut Cream

Cream of Coconut – This is a thickened, sweetened syrup for cocktails. It comes in an easy squeeze bottle and it’s great to have on hand to make coconut cocktails like our pina colada.

Coconut Cream – This is unstweened, thick coconut flavored cream. It’s a thicker version of coconut milk.

Cocktail Garnishes

Edible Flowers – We use flowers often to add charm to our cocktails. Check out our edible flower chart to learn more about what flowers you can use.

Clear Ice – You can make clear ice and use it in this drink. The larger ice cubes are great for melting slowly.

Cherry – Add a maraschino cherry to this cocktail for extra sweetness.

Cocktail Umbrella – If you’re making a summer cocktail, garnish it with a charming umbrella.

Zest – Add a little lime zest over the top of the drink for added fragrance, color and flavor.

Shredded Toasted Coconut – Make a coconut rim or sprinkle a little shredded coconut over the top.

Wow looks perfect for a signature cocktail at a dinner party. BUT…Can’t find the coconut puree. Do you have a brand or link? What kind of container does it come in? It’s not canned xoxo it milk or coconut cream? Is there sugar in it?

Simple and sounds so yummy! I wouldn’t have expected the lime juice with coconut but I would imagine it adds some freshness.

Also, gorgeous glasses! Where are they from?!
