Happy Wednesday! It’s been about 80 degrees in Los Angeles the past few days and it’s not getting any cooler! I even went on a walk yesterday and it was too hot to keep going, really? In January?
Sounds like a good time for ice cream ; ) Although anytime is a good time for ice cream! I came across two charming ways to serve this chilly treat at an event or dinner party.
I really want to start using my ice cream maker more this spring. Zan always makes good recipes, but I think it’s my turn to play ice cream maker! It was a childhood dream, along with with dolphin trainer, and professional ice skater, haha!! I hope you’re all having a wonderful week!
I wasn’t surprised to find out this idea came from one of my favorite event planners, Lisa Vorce and beautiful photo by Jose Villa. I think this could be a great idea for my baby shower!

I have never seen ice cream served in mason jars like that. Definitely one to keep in mind. They are so adorable! This post has also reminded me to hold on to my empty cans!

Ice cream craving coming on?! I love how you wink, wink, nudge, nudged the ice cream idea as a baby shower! HA! JK sorta. I love the rustic idea! I actually love the sound of spoons against a soup can. Strange. I think the second idea is so so chic.

I absolutely love the idea of using soup cans to serve ice cream, and it’s a great way to recycle! I’m in LA too, and it definitely feels like the season for ice cream, oddly enough haha.

cute! Saladang (Thai restaurant in Pasadena) serves a small amount after every meal in a cupcake liner. I always liked that.

Love the ideas, but be careful of the soup cans….the plastic inside can be BPA!
Definitely serving mason jar ice cream this Easter!
Thanks
