Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dried hibiscus flower

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, simmer the sugar and water until the sugar melts.

  • Add in the dried flowers and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.

  • Remove fron heat and let the mixture cool.

  • Starin the syrup through a mesh seive to remove the flowers.

  • You can do this over a bowl and then pour it into a glass jar or use a funnel and strain directly into a glass jar.

Notes

It should be stored in the refrigerator and will last about 1 month. It can go bad after a month, so always make sure you smell it before using.
