- 4 cups water Measured and split 1 cup and 3 cups.
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup lemon juice fresh-squeezed only.
- 1 cup mint leaves Measured and split 1/2 cup and 1/2 cup
Make the simple mint syrup by combining 1 cup water, 3/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup mint leaves in a saucepan.
Heat the mixture on medium until the sugar dissolves, then simmer for 5 minutes to let the mint leaves infuse.
Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
Using a citrus squeezer, squeeze fresh lemons until you get 1 cup of juice.
Next, pour 3 cups of cold water and the lemon juice into a large pitcher.
Strain the mint syrup into the pitcher.
Add fresh mint sprigs and lemon slices.
Stir everything together, and then let the mixture cool in the refrigerator. Serve when it's nice and cold!
Fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over the ice cubes to serve.
Use a sugar alternative like honey, Stevia or agave.
Only use fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
Make this ahead of time and store in the refrigerator overnight without ice.
Make sure to add fresh lemon slices and a lot of mint!
