The Best Mint Lemonade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water Measured and split 1 cup and 3 cups.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup lemon juice fresh-squeezed only.
  • 1 cup mint leaves Measured and split 1/2 cup and 1/2 cup

Instructions

  • Make the simple mint syrup by combining 1 cup water, 3/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup mint leaves in a saucepan.
  • Heat the mixture on medium until the sugar dissolves, then simmer for 5 minutes to let the mint leaves infuse.

  • Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
  • Using a citrus squeezer, squeeze fresh lemons until you get 1 cup of juice.
  • Next, pour 3 cups of cold water and the lemon juice into a large pitcher.

  • Strain the mint syrup into the pitcher.
  • Add fresh mint sprigs and lemon slices.
  • Stir everything together, and then let the mixture cool in the refrigerator. Serve when it's nice and cold!
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour the lemonade over the ice cubes to serve.

Notes

Use a sugar alternative like honey, Stevia or agave. 
Only use fresh-squeezed lemon juice. 
Make this ahead of time and store in the refrigerator overnight without ice. 
Make sure to add fresh lemon slices and a lot of mint!
