One of our favorite versions of cheese and charcuterie board is this southern inspired board filled three types of sausage, pickled vegetables, BBQ sauce, pimento cheese and more!
Slice and cook the sausage in a cast iron pan with a little oil. You can also do this on a BBQ too. Heat until the sausage is a deep golden brown.
Slice the cheddar cheese into 1/4″ slices.
Place the olives, pepperoncinis, dipping sauces and pimento cheese in small bowls to place on the board or platter.
Add the smoked sausage on the board then cheese and layer in saltine crackers and pickled okra.
Sprinkle dry rub seasoning all over the cheese and the sausage for extra flavor!
For the saltine crackers, lay them on a baking sheet and brush with butter. Bake them for 7 minutes at 350 degrees for a crispy, delicious cracker! You can also fry saltine crackers if you’re up for it!
Notes
The best thing about making charcuterie boards is that you can use this southern themed board as inspiration and add your own twist. If there’s a cheese you love, add it! Change up the meats and create your own version.
