Baked brie is one of the easiest appetizers to make! It’s a warm, cheesy dish that takes brie cheese to the next level. It’s baked in the oven and the result is a gooey, molten wheel of cheese that has a creamy texture and is absolutely delicious. It’s almost like a super simple found hack and is the perfect party food.
Make small slits into a crosshatch pattern over the top of the cheese. This allows heat to escape as it melts and the cheese to become like lava!
Drizzle with honey and add fresh thyme and pepper over the top.
Loosely cover with tinfoil.
Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the top is a very light golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Marinated Olives
While the brie is baking make the olives.
In a skillet, over low heat add all of the ingredients.
Simmer until everything is warm and soft.
Pour the warm olives over the bubbly melted cheese and serve.
Notes
Prep the cheese and have it ready to go in the oven 10 minutes before guests arrive. That way it’s perfectly melty and delicious to eat right away.If you need to reheat your baked brie, place it back on the baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about five minutes, or until warmed through.
Baked brie is best served immediately after it’s been baked. However, if you need to make it ahead of time, it will stay gooey for about 30 minutes.Top the melted cheese with anything you love—seasonal fruit, berries, roasted nuts, or savory extras like olives or chili crunch.
