- 6 large mint leaves
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 2 ounces white rum
- 2 ounces cherry juice 100% cherry juice
- 2 ounces club soda
In a sturdy glass, add mint leaves and simple syrup. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently muddle the mint to release its natural oils. Be careful not to tear the mint, as this can make the drink bitter.
Pour in the white rum, cherry juice, and lime juice. Stir the mixture to combine the flavors.
Fill the glass with ice cubes, then top off with club soda for a light and fizzy finish. Stir gently to mix everything together.
Garnish your cherry mojito with a sprig of fresh mint, a lime wedge, and a cherry for a vibrant and festive presentation.
- For the freshest flavor, always use freshly squeezed lime juice and fresh mint leaves.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup to suit your taste.
- Use crushed ice for a more authentic mojito experience and better mixing of flavors.
- Mocktail Version: Replace the rum with a zero-proof alternative or add more sparkling water for a refreshing, alcohol-free option.
