Ingredients

Cherry Buttercream Frosting

cup
softened butter
3
cups
powdered sugar

tablespoons
Luxardo the Original Maraschino Cherry sauce from the jar

teaspoon
vanilla extract

whole milk
Instructions
Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all of the dry ingredients together.
Add in the eggs, oil, vanilla, cherry sauce and milk and mix until combined.
Scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl.
Add in the boiling water. Divide batter into lined cupcake pan.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Do not over bake, but do not undertake either or the middle will collapse. Check them around d11 minutes and see how much longer they need.
Once cooled, press a cherry straight down into the middle of the cupcake. Add a little more cherry sauce to it.
Then you will pipe frosting over the cupcake to cover the hole.
Cherry Buttercream Frosting
Using an electric mixer with the paddle attachment, beat butter until light and fluffy.
Add in the sugar 1 cup at a time and beat until incorporated.
Add in the cherry sauce and continue to beat. You can add more for extra flavor if you prefer.
Add in vanilla and milk and beat on high speed until light and fluffy.
Put into a piping bag with a large round tip and pipe into cupcakes, filling the hole in the middle where the cherry is.
Decorate the cupcakes with cookies, cherries and sprinkles.
