Notes
You can use a boxed brownie with chocolate chips. You can also use pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough. You can make this ahead of time and store it in the fridge until you're ready to bake. These are best served warm, so bake them one hour before you want to serve them. You'll have extra cookie dough, so save it or make cookies. Store these in the refrigerator for three days. You can also freeze them for three monthsHow to Know When They're Done: Knowing when these are done baking can be tricky. The brownies should be set, and the cookies should be golden brown. If you insert a toothpick into the center, it should come out almost with a few moist crumbs. If the toothpick comes out clean, they are overcooked and will be dry. You want them to be just undercooked so they are fudgy and moist.Brownies will usually puff up, especially against the side of the pan. So notice when they are puffy and have a glossy texture.
