I don’t just post about them and pretend to like them… I really do love and eat them. I first tried Sidecar Doughnuts while waiting for an appointment in Orange County, and after one bite of a salt and butter doughnut, I was hooked!! I don’t think I’ve tried a better doughnut than that… one of the best I’ve ever had. I was ecstatic when Sidecar opened a shop in Santa Monica and couldn’t wait to visit!! The flavors are classically unique. Flavors like violet, butter and salt, rosemary, huckleberry, coconut cream pie and black velvet are just a few of my faves. The shop is charming and their attention to detail and design is what I love so much about Sidecar. Even the plates and mugs are from a previous employee who left to start their own ceramics company! The doughnuts are made from scratch in small batches, every 4 hours and they don’t use any preservatives. They change their flavors monthly and have gluten-free options too! If you can make it to a Sidecar Doughnuts, GO!! You won’t regret one bite.
