Apple Pie Smoothie – An Easy Smoothie!

This apple pie smoothie tastes fresh and has a lovely kick of apple spice, to boot! And…it’s super easy to make! In less than 5 minutes you’ll have a dreamy, creamy smoothie! Peel and cut your apples, then toss all your ingredients into a blender, blend, pour and drink! This is great if you are in a rush or if you have guests round. It’s a great thanksgiving smoothie as it has that lovely spice and seasonal apples!

Health Benefits Of Apples

This apple pie smoothie has, not one, but two apples! Apples are one of the most popular fruits — and for good reason. They’re an exceptionally healthy fruit with many research-backed benefits.

Apples are a good source of fiber and vitamin C. They also contain polyphenols, which may have numerous health benefits.

Apples may aid weight loss in several ways. They’re also particularly filling due to their high fiber content.

Apples promote heart health in several ways. They’re high in soluble fiber, which helps lower cholesterol. They also have polyphenols, which are linked to lower blood pressure and stroke risk.

Eating apples is linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes. This is possibly due to their polyphenol antioxidant content.

And those are just a few benefits!

Benefits of Greek Yogurt In This Apple Pie Smoothie

This apple pie smoothie has a cup of Greek yogurt in it, Greek yogurt has some pretty nifty health benefits too!

Greek yogurt differs from other yogurts because it goes through a straining process to remove the whey. Whey is a liquid that contains lactose, a natural sugar found in milk.

Many of the potential health benefits of Greek yogurt relate to its high protein content. A protein-rich diet may help reduce hunger, boost metabolism, and build muscle. Greek yogurt is an excellent source of calcium, which can help improve bone health. So this apple pie smoothie tastes delicious and is packed with goodness, making this a particularly perfect breakfast smoothie!

Top Tips For An Apple Pie Smoothie

  • You can use low fat Greek yogurt to make the smoothie even healthier
  • Garnish with a stick of cinnamon
  • You can make a bigger batch ahead of time, freeze it in a muffin mold then you can place these frozen pucks of apple pie smoothie in a freezer bag. Then, when you want a smoothie, simply re-blend the amount you want with some milk or juice, or just pop a couple in a to-go cup first thing in the morning and drink as it melts.
  • Washing a dirty blender (and safely making sure the blades are clean) is both time consuming and difficult. Fill your dirty blender about halfway with water, add some dishsoap, and turn the blender back on. Then all you have to do is rinse away those bubbles and you’re ready to make your next smoothie.

That was impossible to blend! I measured out all the ingredients and it was way to much for the blender to even start. I had to add a decent amount of milk and then it eventually blended. Didnt taste much like pie either, just apple cinnamon-y ??‍♀️
