- Made with just 5 ingredients – no fluff, just flavor.
- Uses real freeze-dried strawberries for a pop of tart-sweet berry goodness.
- They’re nostalgic, but feel a little elevated (aka adult-approved, kid-devoured).
- The recipe has been made by hundreds of you from Instagram and Pinterest – and everyone loves it!
Ingredient Notes
Mini Marshmallows:The gooey magic that holds it all together. You can totally use large marshmallows – just know they’ll take a little longer to melt. I’ve also made these with organic marshmallows and they work great if you want a cleaner option.
Crispy Cereal:Any puffed rice cereal gets the job done, but good ol’ Rice Krispies give the best crunch and that classic texture we all love.
Clover Sonoma Organic Unsalted Butter:Buttery richness that melts like a dream. I use unsalted so I can control the flavor, but salted works too – just skip adding extra salt.
Freeze-Dried Strawberries: These are the secret to real strawberry flavor and that pretty pink color. Lightly crush them before mixing so the flavor spreads evenly. You can swap in freeze-dried raspberries or even a berry blend if you’re feeling creative.
Recipe Tips
Crush the freeze-dried strawberries in the bag before adding – smaller bits blend better.
Use parchment paper to press the mixture into the pan. No sticking, no mess.
Don’t overheat the marshmallows – low heat keeps them smooth and glossy.
How to Store
- Counter: Airtight container for up to 3 days. They stay soft and chewy!
- Fridge: Store if your kitchen is hot, but let them come to room temp before eating.
- Freezer: Not ideal – they lose their perfect texture.
