Strawberry jello shots made inside real strawberries and dipped in chocolate for a fun, festive party treat. I fill big, juicy strawberries with vanilla jello, add a chocolate dip and a little sparkle, and call it done. They’re especially fun for Valentine’s Day parties.

Unflavored gelatin to set the jello shots

Whipped vodka or vanilla vodka for a smooth, classic flavor

Vanilla extract for extra vanilla flavor

Melted chocolate for dipping (optional, but highly recommended)

Edible glitter and freeze-dried strawberry powder for garnish (optional)

How to Make Strawberry Jello Shots

  1. Wash and dry the strawberries. Cut off the tops and gently hollow out the centers, making sure there are no holes in the bottom.
  2. Place the strawberries cut-side up in a mini muffin tin so they stay upright.
  3. Add the gelatin to a bowl. Pour the boiling water over it and whisk until completely smooth.
  4. Whisk in the liquor and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Let the mixture sit for about one minute so it is not piping hot.
  6. Carefully pour the jello mixture into the strawberries.
  7. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours, or until fully set.
  8. Dip the strawberries in melted chocolate, then sprinkle with edible glitter and strawberry powder.

Ingredients 

  • 24 large strawberries
  • 1 packet galatin, Knox about 1 tabslepoon
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup vodka, vanilla or whipped vodka
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 cup white chocolate, melted

Instructions
