Buttery, hand pies are perfect to serve year-round! We love cooking these peach campfire pies over a hot fire during the fall season. They taste beyond delicious and if you haven’t tried them, you must!

Weโ€™re feeling cozy and inspired by Yankee Candleโ€™s new Woodland Road Trip Collection. This is the perfect collection for our favorite season…fall! The Farm Fresh Peach candle smells just like peach jam. And the delicious fragrance inspired our recipe for campfire peach pies.ย

For the recipe, we picked up some juicy, fresh peaches at the Farmers Market. This is seriously the best and easiest peach campfire pie recipe. Campfire pies, also known as mountain pies or hobo pies, are simple to make and are perfect for a crisp, fall camping day. Theyโ€™re absolutely delicious!ย

Also check out our apple campfire pies too!

Yankee Candle

You can view the entire Yankee Candle Woodland Road Trip Collection here. The jars and tumblers in this collection are redesigned and the lids act as a coster for the candle. Loving that. Also, check out Cozy Cabin Escape scent, itโ€™s another one of our favorite scents.

To make these pies youโ€™ll need a mountain pie maker and a campfire.

Peel and thinly slice peaches. Add in the other ingredients and mix.

Butter both sides of two pieces of bread.

Place one piece of buttered bread into the cast iron pie maker and add about 6 sliced peaches inside.

Then, add other piece of bread over the top of the peaches and close the pie maker.

Remove any sides of bread that peek out the side of the pie maker.

Hold the pie maker over a campfire for about 10 minutes on each side. Open to see if the bread is a nice, golden brown. When it is, the pie is done.

  1. We used to make these when I was growing up. My mom would use different flavors of pie filling. I never knew what they were called. Whenever we had a barbecue outside, after dinner, my dad would put these in the hot coals and make each of us kids one. They were so good.
