How to Make Peach Campfire Pies
To make these pies you’ll need a mountain pie maker and a campfire.
Peel and thinly slice peaches. Add in the other ingredients and mix.
Butter both sides of two pieces of bread.
Place one piece of buttered bread into the cast iron pie maker and add about 6 sliced peaches inside.
Then, add other piece of bread over the top of the peaches and close the pie maker.
Remove any sides of bread that peek out the side of the pie maker.
Hold the pie maker over a campfire for about 10 minutes on each side. Open to see if the bread is a nice, golden brown. When it is, the pie is done.

We used to make these when I was growing up. My mom would use different flavors of pie filling. I never knew what they were called. Whenever we had a barbecue outside, after dinner, my dad would put these in the hot coals and make each of us kids one. They were so good.
