For me, the ultimate way to relax during the crazy holiday season is sitting down with a glass of wine by my fireplace reading a book or catching up on monthly magazines. But in order to fully disconnect and escape into my own world (which is something I need after 8pm, otherwise I keep working!), I need the space to be comfortable and cozy. We teamed up with Target to create a tiny reading nook in the corner of my living room that we are thoroughly enjoying! I thought I’d share with you how I put my reading nook together, and my seven must-haves for designing a one of your own!

7 must-haves for creating a reading nook…

1. A cozy corner in your home
2. Comfy chair
3. A bench (or ottoman) to rest your feet on
4. Stylish reading lamp
5. A warm blanket
6. Candles
7. A good book or magazines

Once you have everything together for your nook, all you need a glass of wine, cocktail or some of your favorite snacks to make it yours!

I agree, I’m SOOO looking forward to cooler temps so I can enjoy my fireplace and cozy nook! The heat we’ve been having here in SoCal is nuts! I’m craving a rainy day. Oh, and I lOVE that book! It’s a great read on entertaining 🙂 Thanks for the sweet comment!

Love this post. Can I ask where you go the cute side table?

Thanks Kelly!! The side table is actually from an antique sale I went to!! I painted the stand part and then re-attached the marble 🙂
