Pine Scented Soy Candles Supplies

  • Small wooden sticks – to tie the wick to as the wax is hardening.
  • Scissors
  • Pot for melting
DIY pine candle.

How to Make Pine Scented Candles

Melt soy wax chips (about 10 cups) in a large, heavy pot over medium heat – watch it carefully, as hot wax can overheat quickly. Once melted, add in pine-scented oil (or any scent you like) and divide the wax into two heat-proof bowls with pouring spouts.

Add green dye to one bowl, using several drops (or wax dye) to get a rich color. Leave the other bowl white.

Place a wick at the bottom of your candle jar. You can use glue to secure it or wrap the top around a twig and rest the twig on the rim of the jar to keep the wick centered as the wax cools.

Pour a layer of white wax into the jar (about ¼ full), then place it in the fridge to speed up the setting. Once solid, pour a layer of green wax on top and chill again. Repeat this process, alternating colors if desired, until the jar is full.

Remove the twig, trim the wick, and place a lid on the jar. These make beautiful, festive gifts for friends and family!
