Supplies You’ll Need

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

  • Jars (Any size will do, but mason jars are a popular choice)
  • Fresh herbs – I use flowers from my wildflower garden, such as lavender, mint, rosemary, basil, and lemon balm.
  • Citrus slices (Oranges, lemons, limes)
  • Citronella oil (Make sure it’s a potent oil for maximum effectiveness)
  • Floating candles
  • Water

Extra Tips

  • Repellent Bracelets & Natural Incense: In addition to these jars, try using repellent bracelets and natural incense to keep your family and guests comfortable outside.
  • Explore More Herbs: While citronella is the star, adding herbs like lavender, mint, rosemary, and basil can enhance the effectiveness and aroma of your jars.

So, if you’re looking for a mosquito repellant, try these! Creating these citronella candle jars is a simple yet effective way to improve your outdoor entertaining experience. With these jars, you can stay bug-free and confidently enjoy the outdoors!
