To celebrate our 2nd sweet baby boy, we happily hosted a charming, modern, fall theme baby shower with Munchkin! It was such a joy to team up with Munchkin, an adorable brand weโve used since Romeo was born.
I invited some of my special friends for an afternoon of great food and fall fun. Well, we tried to make it as fall as possible, even with the 90-degree weather, by adding a lot of pumpkins! See all of the details below!
Of course, we played some obligatory baby shower games! We kept them classy and simple, though! We did a rubber ducky prize drawing and also played the donโt say โbabyโ game!
Baby Shower Dessert Station
I love when events have activities or unique stations that give guests something to do while socializing, and Iโll never throw a party without some type of crafting station and of course, NEVER without a dessert station.
For the dessert, we had Savannah, from HauteSugar Co., spinning an incredible pumpkin chai cotton candy!! It was a charming and delicious touch!
Baby Shower Catering
For food, I had one of my favorite catering companies in Los Angeles, Heirloom, cater the baby shower. To match the overall theme, I chose a fall brunch spread, and it was such a hit!
They made the most gorgeous fruit platter, fried chicken and waffles, avocado toast, pumpkin bread (everyoneโs fave!), vanilla bean scones, a pear salad, and quiche! Honestly, their presence alone is stunning, and you can never go wrong.
Fall Baby Shower Craft Idea
Succulent Pumpkins
For the craft station, I wanted a fall-themed, simple, and not too messy for guests. So we set up an area for them to create mini-succulent pumpkins!!
Theyโre no-carve, and all you need is moss, hot glue, mini pumpkins, and some tiny succulents! It was a big hit, and even my not-so-crafty guests could enjoy and complete one confidently, haha!
Fall Baby Shower Cocktails
For the cocktails, we served apple cider Moscow Mules and made the Algonquin Bar Punch. Actually, funny story… because one of my sweet friends, Leah, showed up just a few minutes early, I put her to work and had her make the punch as I was rushing to get dressed in time!
Luckily, Leah likes cocktails as much as I do, so it turned out greatโฆ thanks, Leah!!! To make it easy, we served flat and sparkling water bottles and sparkling apple cider too!
I was so determined to find the perfect white bar for the party within my budget, which wasnโt happening! So instead, I had one custom built by our carpenter/neighbor for half the price and now I can keep it forever!
I kept the decor charming with Harlow and Grayโs gold triangle garland, lots of fairy tale pumpkins (the best kind ever!,) and the most gorgeous fall blooms from my friend Erin at White Fig Designs! Flowers are EVERYTHING!!
Modern Fall Baby Shower Shopping Guide
1 — Fairy Tale Pumpkins
I bought these at my local grocery store!
2 — Gold Triangle Garland
The super chic and simple garland is from Harlow & Grey, and Iโm obsessed with how it easily transforms a space. Instant party!
3 — Copper Moscow Mule Mugs
I searched high and low for good quality Moscow Mule mugs that didnโt cost a fortune! I even thought about renting them, but then found these, which I was SUPER happy with! The quality is great, and now I get to keep them for future parties!
4 — Punch Bowl
The Britta Optic from Crate and Barrel is one of my favorite modern punch bowls!
5 — Gold Stripe Straws
I will never get over paper straws!
6 — Gold Letter Balloons
These balloons are mini, so you can spell out whatever you want and add a festive touch!
7 — Disposable Leaf Plates
We used disposable plates to make clean-up easier in the shower. The quality of these plates is so good that everyone kept asking me if they were even disposable!!
8 — Mini White Pumpkins
I bought these at my local grocery store, and we used them for our craft activity and to place around!
9 — Marble Gift Bags
All of our guests were able to fill a gift bag to take home. I saw these modern ones from Paper Source and fell in love!
10 — Giant Balloons
I love using giant balloons for parties since theyโre easy and super festive! Instead of trying to fit them in my car already blown up, I bought these and then used a helium tank like this to inflate them at the location!
Baby Shower Favors
The prizes were the best part, though! We gave away Munchkinโs VIB (very important baby) gift basket filled with a curated selection of items for the first year.
Itโs pretty much the perfect gift for any new mama!! We also gave away their amazing Luna baby gate! Itโs not just your average gate either; itโs sturdy, lights up, and has a sleek modern look to it!

How did you do the craft? Did you plant the succulent in the pumpkin?
Beautiful! Can I ask where you got the stuff for the succulents?
Hi Catherine – I ordered most of the items online (amazon) and got the actual little succulents at our local nursery.
