Since our Spiked Jolly Ranch Punch was such a hit, we decided to whip up another Halloween punch recipe and created this delicious Monster Mash Lemongrass Party Punch!

Although this cocktail looks extra sugary and spooky, it’s actually a lemongrass tea-based cocktail punch that’s not overly sweet!

Since there is no doubt everyone’s sweet tooth will be satisfied on Halloween, we thought it would be nice to serve a lighter, refreshing cocktail and then add in the spooky ice cube gummies and candy skewers as garnishes.

An Easy Halloween Party Punch!

This Halloween punch recipe is so easy it literally consists of 4 ingredients! Lemongrass spearmint tea, lime juice, gin and a homemade clove simple syrup, which is also very easy to make!

The ingredient combo for this punch is unique and I like serving something super different on Halloween night. The flavors blend together really well and overall it’s a very light and subtle punch.

Cocktail Garnishes

I found these monster eyeball ice cube trays here and I love that the gummy is already in there and it’s as easy as just adding water to make these adorable ice cubes!

The candy skewers add some good ol’ Halloween fun to the cocktail. We found those at Williams-Sonoma. Candy corn gummies and mini sour pumpkin gummies! So fun!

Lemon Grass Tea – The Base For This Party Punch!

Lemongrass is a wonderful ingredient and works so well in this party punch!

It has a fresh, lemony aroma and a citrus flavor. It’s a common ingredient in Thai cooking and bug repellent.

Lemongrass essential oil is used in aromatherapy to freshen the air, reduce stress, and uplift the mood. Lemongrass is also used as a folk remedy to promote sleep, relieve pain, and boost immunity.

For this recipe we use lemongrass tea. It is a popular misconception that lemongrass must taste very similar to lemon. However, lemongrass has a flavor profile all its own.

While it is citrusy with a lemonyflavor, it tastes almost like a mix of lemon and lemon mint. The flavor is quite light and does not overpower other flavors – perfect for this light and refreshing party punch!

Tips For This Monster Mash Lemongrass Party Punch

  • You can use store-bought simple syrup if you are pressed for time.
  • If you don’t have a punch bowl, use a big pot. A crockpot looks nice and holds good amount of punch!
  • Serve with a healthy amount of ice, to keep the party punch light and refreshing.
  • Don’t forget the garnishes, this really adds the pop of color and interest!
