What is a Neapolitan Milkshake?

A Neapolitan milkshake is a shake layered with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream. It’s similar to making Neapolitan ice cream. It’s a classic flavor of ice cream that was introduced to America by Italians. They originally introduced it as Spumoni in the 1800’s.

How do you make a Neapolitan Ice Cream Milkshake?

To make this delicious frozen treat, you blend each flavor of ice cream (chocolate, strawberry, vanilla) with milk. Then layer the flavors on top of each other in a tall glass.

  • Blender – A Powerful blender is key to an easy and smooth milkshake. I’ve had my Vitamix for years. It’s an investment but has been incredible with an amazing warranty.
