Rum Punch Recipe

When we were in Turks and Caicos this past Christmas we learned how to make the Island’s signature drink recipe -a Rum Punch. We made them a few times every day in our villa and ordered some when we hung out on the beach.

I fell in love with the beauty of this cocktail and the tropical fruity flavor. It’s made with fresh pineapple juice, orange juice, two types of rum, and some grenadine to get the beautiful color.

It’s a perfect cocktail for a tropical summer party or a wonderful summer cocktail to sip while relaxing on the beach.

Easy tropical rum punch recipe.

To make this I used a local Turks and Caicos rum we packed as a souvenir from vacation. It really took me back to that stunning beach, however, I think all rum drinks remind me of a tropical beach.

Rum Punch Ingredients

Dark Rum: Rich and full-bodied with notes of caramel, molasses, and spice. It gives the punch depth and a warm, smooth finish.

White Rum: Light and crisp, white rum adds a clean, subtle kick without overpowering the fresh fruit flavors.

Orange Juice: Freshly squeezed for bright, tangy citrus flavor. It adds sweetness and balances the rum perfectly.

Pineapple Juice: Tropical and juicy with just the right touch of tartness. It’s the star of the show and gives the punch that island vibe.

Lime Juice: Zesty lime juice adds a necessary acidity to cut the sweetness and wake up the entire drink.

Grenadine: A splash of grenadine gives the punch a gorgeous pink hue and a kiss of pomegranate sweetness. You can also use a substitute or make your own homemade grenadine for a more natural flavor.
