Marshmallow Syrup Ingredients

- Water: Forms the base of the syrup and helps dissolve the sugar evenly.
- Granulated sugar: Sweetens the syrup and creates that classic pourable texture.
- Miniature marshmallows: Melt smoothly and give the syrup its signature marshmallow flavor.

How to Make Toasted Marshmallow Syrup

- Strain into a jar, stir in the vanilla, and let cool. Use in coffee or hot chocolate.
- Toast the marshmallows under the broiler until puffed and golden.
- Simmer the water and sugar until the sugar dissolves, like a classic simple syrup.
- Add the marshmallows to the syrup and gently stir, then remove from heat.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes so the syrup separates.
Eden’s Recipe Tips
Toast the marshmallows more than you think — pale marshmallows won’t give enough flavor.
Don’t boil the syrup after adding marshmallows; low heat is key.
Letting the mixture sit before straining is what makes the syrup smooth.
If it thickens too much in the fridge, gently warm it or stir in a splash of hot water.
