Fig & Olive is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. It’s perfect for a light dinner or fun business meeting. We stopped in last week for a delicious lunch and to learn about olive oil through a tasting, which we’ll be featuring soon! They were so gracious to allow us to share the recipe to my favorite cocktail, that actually has olive oil in it!! The flavor combination of blood orange and cucumber is perfect! I’m going to start keeping these ingredients on hand so I can quickly whip up the Fig & Olive Cocktail for guests!!
The Fig & Olive Cocktail
2 oz cucumber vodka
1 oz blood orange juice (something similar to this)
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz blood orange olive oil (if you can use Fig & Olive’s blood orange it’s amazing, otherwise something like this will work too)
1/2 celery sprig
Chop up the celery sprig and muddle inside a mixing tin; then add in blood orange olive oil after the celery is muddled.
Add lime juice and simple syrup to mixing tin.
Add 2 oz cucumber vodka.
Shake and strain over fresh ice.
Add a splash of soda.
Add celery sprig for garnish.
