I’ve been on a little mocktail kick lately, and this non-alcoholic Aperol Spritz has quickly become a favorite in our house. It’s light, fizzy, and has that signature bitter-orange flavor I love without the alcohol!

Why You’ll Love this Spritz Mocktail

  • We ordered a non-alcoholic Aperol Spritz at our favorite restaurant, and it was hands-down the best zero-proof version we’ve ever had—so of course, we asked for the recipe. And now I’m sharing it with you!
  • It uses only 4 simple ingredients, no fancy tools, and comes together in minutes.
  • The secret is Ritual Aperitif, which brings that perfect bitter-orange flavor, just like Aperol.
  • Paired with a good non-alcoholic sparkling wine, it’s easy to recreate this feel-good drink right at home.

Non Alcoholic Aperol Spritz Ingredients

Ritual aperitif alternative and zero-proof sparkling wine.
  • Ritual Aperitif (non-alcoholic): Provides the signature bitter flavor that mimics the classic Aperol taste without the alcohol.
  • Non-alcoholic sparkling wine: Adds fizz and a celebratory feel, just like the original spritz.
  • Sparkling water: Lightens the drink and enhances the refreshing, bubbly texture.
  • Fresh orange juice: Brings a touch of sweetness and bright citrus notes to balance the bitterness.
  • Dehydrated orange slice (for garnish): Adds visual appeal and a fresh citrus aroma.

5 Steps to Make a Non-Alcoholic Aperol Spritz

1. Fill it with ice! Grab a big wine glass and fill it all the way up. Cold and classy is the vibe.

2. Add the star – Ritual Aperitif! Pour in 2 oz of Ritual Zero Proof Aperitif. Bitter, bold, and totally booze-free.

3. Time to sparkle! Add 3 oz of non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Fizz = fancy.

4. Brighten it up! Top with 1 oz sparkling water and a dash of fresh orange juice. Balanced and beautiful.

5. Garnish & glam! Pop in an orange slice, a rosemary sprig if you’re feeling extra, then stir and sip your new favorite mocktail.

Eden’s Tips

Chill Your Ingredients: To keep the mocktail refreshing, ensure that your sparkling wine, water, and juice are well chilled before making the drink.

Garnish Creatively: You can also add fresh herbs like thyme or basil to elevate the flavor and presentation of your Aperol Spritz Mocktail.

Adjust Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter mocktail, add a bit more orange juice or even a splash of simple syrup.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a non-alcoholic version of Aperol?

Yes! My go-to is Ritual Aperitif—it has that classic bitter-orange flavor and works perfectly in a spritz. I also love Lyre’s Italian Spritz for a slightly sweeter, vibrant option. Both are great for making a mocktail feel fun, elevated, and totally charming—no alcohol needed!

What type of glass is an Aperol Spritz served in?

Traditionally, it’s served in a large stemmed wine glass—the kind that gives you room for lots of ice and all those gorgeous bubbles. I love using a big, beautiful glass because it makes the drink feel extra special (and let’s be honest, it’s part of the charm!). You can also serve it in a stemless glass or even a vintage coupe if you’re feeling fancy, just make sure there’s enough room for ice and fizz!

Where can I buy non-alcoholic spirits?

I usually get mine from Amazon, Total Wine, BevMo, or even some local liquor stores that carry zero-proof options. Ritual, Lyre’s, and Ghia are a few of my favorites, and I’ve found them both online and in person. If you’re new to the world of non-alcoholic spirits, start with one bottle and experiment—it’s such a fun way to make elevated mocktails at home!
